Not Atari related at all, but cool nonetheless. I am lucky to live within 5 minutes of totality and was able to hang out with some family friends for the afternoon.
Photos are nothing special just taken with my phone. Pre-totality through my "eclipse glasses lenses" and during totality without anything special.

I was lucky enough to be in the path of totality in 1999. It remains one of the coolest experiences of my life. Even though I understand how it all works, there's still something magical about those few minutes.

Re: Eclipse 2024
Same for me, was really weird going completely dark during the daytime. All the birds which are normally chirping away went totally silent. Very eerie...derkom wrote: 09 Apr 2024 16:07 I was lucky enough to be in the path of totality in 1999. It remains one of the coolest experiences of my life. Love storms when I was a kid. Everything would just go black and totally silent.. Then be a almighty bang of thunder.. And then the heavens open with rain...

Cool 8-)
The next total eclipse for the UK isn't until 2090 but there will be a 90% one on the 12th of August 2026 with Cornwall being the best vantage point :)
