Hi, I thought I'd seen one somewhere before (possibly for one of the earlier H4 or H5 board, not too sure as it was a few years ago now)...but can anybody point me to a step by step build process for the H5C1?
I'm really after the initial "essential" steps to get a minimum H5C1 build to the point where it can boot & show a desktop/load a program off floppy disc.
I've obviously done this in the past with my first H5C1 build (to the point where it crashes on accessing the floppy but boots to the desktop OK if there is no floppy in the drive - as detailed on my other build thread H5C1 firST STeps) but that was nearly 3 years ago...so I'm bound to have forgotten some of the details along the way!
I'm thinking that this might be a little late for most builds (as there are only 3 left in the store at this point in time) but it might be useful for people when trouble-shooting any systems in the future.
If there isn't one (or only those for the earlier revisions) then I'm happy to do my best to create one with my finding & suggestions from others!
EDIT: - I found the build log for @exxos's second H5C1 here so I will plan to sue that as a basis unless anybody knows of a better starting point (or any additional steps)?
Step by step guide to building H5C1 - anyone?

Think my build blog is probably the only thing out there..
Also this needs to be done.

I don't think it really needs much to get it running, maybe the osc, tos jumper, RGB port... The dumplings need to be configured of course .. Not sure what else offhand..

@JezC are you up and running yet  :hide:
We need a build blog ;)
I've noticed there's only 3 H5C1 left now. The end of a era I guess now

Not even got past the part gathering phase yet. I thought I had a 13 pin DIN socket for one of the other boards but apparently not. :(
I've dug out a part-populated STE motherboard that you gave me years ago ready to remove the sockets (15 pin for VGA as well as monitor &ext Floppy connectors etc.) but not yet had chance to desolder them.
The usual family emergency whenever I hope to have some retro time ...
Yes, the last planned batch of H5 boards - can't believe it is almost 3 years ago they first appeared in the store.
