TF1232 Running State of The Art, crashes at 50mhz, runs all day at 25mhz.

TF1232 Running State of The Art, crashes at 50mhz, runs all day at 25mhz.
I was wondering if this is showing a timing error or something.
The cpu runs fine at 50mhz on my a2000 using a tf536, with no crashes, but will error out after a few mins on the tf1232.
Setting the jumper for 25mhz will allow it to run without crashes.
whdload options have mmu disabled, and noautovec enabled.
I got this card from Alenppc and it seems to run correctly except for this error, but I haven't tried alot of other things.

Great! Thanks for all the hard work.
Re: TF1232 Running State of The Art, crashes at 50mhz, runs all day at 25mhz.
On my end I only get the crash if I forget to add the "PAL" tooltype to the icon, but otherwise it runs fine. I assume your A1200 has had the timing fixes done (E123C and E125C removed from the underside of the board)?dabone wrote: Fri Mar 22, 2024 1:24 pm I was wondering if this is showing a timing error or something.

I am also open to try swapping your card for another one if yours is problematic for some reason.
Re: TF1232 Running State of The Art, crashes at 50mhz, runs all day at 25mhz.
State of the art crashes on my TF1232s too, but I also have Game selector 2.5 on a CF so I booted that up and State of the Art it works fine 100% on the TF1232, and I even took the SOTA game out of game selector and put it into my other TF1232 CF and it crashed so I will say there is something conflicting with the WHDload game on our systems
But remember this was coded for 68000 OCS/ECS machines and was always known to be problematic for the AGA A1200
But I just tested State of the Art with a IDE to SD adapter and it runs flawlessly , so if you really want the best experience invest the few extra quid for a IDE to SD adapter and most problems like this do not seem to happen

Re: TF1232 Running State of The Art, crashes at 50mhz, runs all day at 25mhz.
I've set the PAL tool type, and I'm also running on a Pal machine.
Noautovec is enabled, and mmu is disabled.
The timing fixes are done, and I'm running using a IDE to SD card adapter, and I've used 3 different kinds of sdcards.
State of the Art seems to be really picky, under the TF536 it crashes unless you disable the MMU and enable noautovec.
On my TF1232 It runs fine at 25mhz using those settings but crashes out @50 mhz.
@Alenppc, I thought since you were able to replicate the crash on your system that it wasn't an issue with the card.
Are you saying that it works correctly @50mhz with the correct tooltypes?
That you can leave it running on the loop for hours? (It usually crashes within 10min or so on my machine)

Re: TF1232 Running State of The Art, crashes at 50mhz, runs all day at 25mhz.
In my book if it does a couple of loops its gool lol, it`s when it crashes within one loop then yes perhaps it can be looked at, for example I have tested this Demo now and it will do two loops and crash and sometimes it will run forever ! like I said this demo was written for the 68000 and ocs/ecs machines, other than that you need a WHDLoad wizard to look at it
Re: TF1232 Running State of The Art, crashes at 50mhz, runs all day at 25mhz.
To be honest I haven't tried running it for more than 2 loops. Maybe if I leave it running longer it will crash, I can check this later.
Re: TF1232 Running State of The Art, crashes at 50mhz, runs all day at 25mhz.
The "WHDload Mantis Issues" page for this slave notes it may require the tooltype "NoCache" in the icon or it can crash approx halfway through the demo.
https://whdload.de/mantis/view.php?id=4767
That could hint at something which is still timing critical not patched in the slave. That might correspond to it working @25MHz and not @50MHz?

Re: TF1232 Running State of The Art, crashes at 50mhz, runs all day at 25mhz.
Hello all, I am solving a similar problem. I bought TF1232 from bazar on Amibay with 68030RC50C, without FPU. I have A1200 REV 1D1.
When i run A1200 its OK card work, but when I reset A1200 by keyboard shortcut A1200 not boot. If I want to restart the Amiga I have to turn off the power for at least 20 seconds and then it will start up properly. This problem goes away if I switch CPU to 25Mhz. Also some WHDLoad games work randomly, sometimes they start, sometimes they don't start and the system crashes.
I tried clock fix without success, the problem remained. MB is recapped. I use 3.2.2 ROM, I also tried 3.0 ROM and the problem is the same. Without TF Amiga work corectly. I tested without IDE connected to MB and TF.
I wanted to update the FW on the TF1232, but unfortunately the only one I found is not downloadable (http://alen.dreamhosters.com/tf1232r1_2 ... _alpha.zip).
Could someone please direct me to what to focus on when solving this problem? Or is it possible to download the latest FW for the TF1232 somewhere (my card has a black PCB and is marked as Revision 1b)?
Thank you very much for the advice.
