Re: Tang Nano 20K FPGA ST/STE port
I got the parts, I just took time to flash the fpga key and the micro-controller dongle. The fpga is starting and I see the desktop. I will test that more thoroughly later.

I had been watching the development over at Atari Forum. At £24 basic kit or £39 for everything it's not a bad price.

Yes, I paid around 46€ for the fpga board and the micro-controller board. I used my custom protoboards. For now I may have damaged my microcontroller board though, I have to check.

As the proud new owner of such a "MisteryNano" fpga Atari STE I was wondering if there are other users of such a device around here... ;)

I tried the MiSTer version. It works. I loaded up one demo known to be problematic for emulators. It worked well. I was surprised. I've not used the ST core since.

Re: Tang Nano 20K FPGA ST/STE port
I had been eyeing the MiST/MiSTer fpga projects for a long time, but found them a little too expensive. This solution with the Tang Nano (and a Raspberry Pico) is way more affordable and I'm not really interested in all the other fpga options available, as I really only longed for recreating the Atari ST. And this "MisteryNano" fits the bill perfectly...

Just picked up one of these a couple of weeks ago via Ebay, haven't used it yet but have seen a number of Youtube videos about it.Hirazi wrote: 12 Jun 2025 15:37 As the proud new owner of such a "MisteryNano" fpga Atari STE I was wondering if there are other users of such a device around here... ;)
Could be interesting for timing purposes, particularly when running demos.
