Hi All,
with the imminent arrival of a gotek i'd like to take my fully working internal floppy and connect it to the external floppy for a physical drive b:
ive had a look but cant see anyone doing this or a cable, so apologies if its already been posted.
Am assuming it should be as easy as some kind of convertor cable and if needed a case to tidy it up but thats secondary
so has anyone done this or any advice on it
cheers

Re: internal floppy convert to external
There are adapters for the ST floppy port to floppy ribbon cable found on Ebay. You'll also need to wire up a power source. I typically just use an old USB A cord so I can use a wall wart to power it....so long as your floppy only needs 5v to run...which I believe new floppy drives should be fine with that. The older ones need the 12v too...that would be a bit more effort to power it.

Re: internal floppy convert to external
I did this a while back: ST external floppy cable
I use mine with a CosmosEx to connect as a 2nd external floppy, but should work for any floppy.
