It's time - Ohio Scientific Model 600 build thread

Post by rubber_jonnie »

It was unfortunate that at the time I'd planned to build the Ohio Scientific Model 600, I lost my parents and so a big build like this was just not going to happen.

So, now things have moved on, I have decided I need to get back to it, there is a build thread here: OSM600 Build thread

So here we are with a clean slate:

And I will document my build here as I progress.

No solder mask. That's going to be interesting soldering.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

It will be. It was done that way to match the original. Going by the photos of a finished one, the silk screen is 180 degrees out for the notch of the ICs, so some care needed.

I may be getting a 610 too, but the jury is still out for now.
