Recommendations - Atari Falcon with CT63

Post by RetroPassionUK »

We have been given the opportunity to put together a high-end Atari falcon spec using the CT63 with REV6 cpu.

What PSU do people recommend? The CT60 PSU is out of the question as I have been told no current plans to build any.

TIA!!

I now have the original CT60 PSU, but while I was waiting for it, I built my own one which I never used:

I just 3D printed the frame, bought some bits for the leads and the AC bracket (connectors, AC socket, switches...).

The speaker is from Centuriontech and the PSU used is a Meanwell RPT-6003 (while the original one is a Traco Power TOP 60316).

@RetroPassionUK

Thanks.

Yes, I planned to sell it later this year on the local auction site since I have the original CT60 PSU.

If you are interested, I can check how much I spent for all the parts and see what the shipping fees to UK are.

Many thanks, so the unmodified CT60PSU one. I just got a 3d printer so am thinking of making myself one or two.

I gather Pavel used a Traco Power TOP 60316 that is no longer made so you chose the Meanwell RPT-6003. The CT6x seems sensitive to the power up timing of 5V vs 3.3v. Did the Meanwell one also work out well from that perspective, no need to do lots of power on resets, or did you literally never use it?
