Any 1230/1260-LC Audio Production Users, any known problems?

Hi Amigos Im about to purchase an Accelerator for my Amiga 1200, was looking at the 1230 128mb fast ram with 68030RC50 GoldTop cpu but now im tempted to go for the 1260. MC68LC060RC50 - Revision 4 CPU. - (LC has MMU but no integrated FPU) with 128mb fast ram.

My budget caters for either but not the superduper 1260 chip with additional integral fpu. I have to watch my spending. Mostly I will be using the 1200 for my music production, sampling octamed, BBS, whload and some game playing, not botherd about trying to get 3d games like doom to run super smooth and stuff like that. Ive other systems for that kind of stuff.

Are there any musos having any issues with either ofnthese accelerators? My current sampler softaware is Technosound Turbo, and Octamed 4. I have installed Hyperions 3.2OS and installed matching ROM Chips.

As long as you have the SoftIEEE libraries installed, the LC060 will run everything the full 68060 will, including FPU code, without crashing. Since you are in the UK, I recommend you buy your official card from @supaduper on this forum (or Amibay). This way you will get full support from the builders and you'll get to support the designer as well.

@alenppc Hi mate, thanks for this I think ill take a hit on the 1260 odly enough I heard about Superduper on a 1260 reviewn on YouTube, i messaged him and he has been of help aswell.
