Hi,
I have a request for all those here that love to build small boards. I need one very simple board to be manufactured and populated. I need somebody that is willing to do it and, of course, I will pay all the costs including parts and work. I need it for prototyping and developing some H5 extensions using FGPA kits.
It's extremely simple. All I need is to expose all the pins on the DIP 68000 socket, into a couple of 40 pins male IDE connectors. The only parts required, besides the board itself are the IDE connectors and the pins that plug into the CPU socket. There is no need for any passive components. But the connectors and pins should be soldered.
Again, I am paying all the costs.
Can all registered uses please login, even just for a few minutes..

I could probably do it if is just a simple breakout board.
Would really need to know there is any particular pinout you want or whatever is convenient to route.
Also by IDE, are you specifically referring to any pin pitch because I think they are generally 2mm ? 2.54mm is normal (like 68k pitch).
Assume you don't need power ?
Do you need any 0v on it ?

That looks perfectly. Except that I like shrouded connectors, not just bare pins. The idea is to use a couple of standard IDE cables to bridge to the FPGA board. And I'm stupid enough to sometimes connect cables incorrectly. So if this idiot proof, the betterLike this ?

You could reuse the Remake Alpha expansion board, would save any routing etc.
Just put the headers on the 68K PLCC socket holes.

I would need to know what pins need to be clock. Is that on both or 1 connector ? Might be an idea to just mark them on my image which pins have to be dedicated so I get them how you want them.

- Connect CPU clock both to pins 1 & 3 in one single connector
- Pins 1 & 3 in the other connectors should be left unconnected
- Connect GND to pins 12 & 30 in both connectors
- Leave power pins 11 & 29 unconnected in both connectors (to avoid ground loops)
- Other CPU pins can be connected as it is more convenient

You mean the space for the mating tab? You can see it in the pics I posted. It is on the side of the odd numbered pins, close to pins 19 & 21. I will post a picture of the actual connector. But it might be more intuitive to just look at a standard IDE cable.Also not sure where the location tab should be ?
