Since my Mega STE came damaged in the mail I was thinking of attempting to recreate the case for it.
Wondering if there'd be any interest in this ^-^
Also If I were to remake it is there any changes or additions you'd like to see?

DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

That'd be quite nice because it'd also suit the TT and perhaps accelerated Falcons. I'd personally like two USB port holes on the front of the hard disk bay & a cutout/blank for an rj45 ethernet port.

Has anyone made a 3D printable model of the Mega STE case or modified version?

Re: Mega STE case remake
I have a TT with no top case and a MegaSTE with no top or bottom case. So I guess for me that would be YES x 1.5 :P

Re: Mega STE case remake
There is a 3D print model for the hard drive bay (top, 2 piece).
It's printed in two pieces and is made with SD-card openings for
version 1.2 of the internal Ultrasatan.

I have friend with a damaged case, he'd be interested for sure.
What would be cool is if the footprint could be modified for an STFM or STE board. The Mega/TT I always thought was a thing of beauty.

Re: Mega STE case remake
This is possible as the Falcon, STFM/STE motherboards are very similar to the Mega STE and TT footprints. They do have different port positions and standoff holes though. With the ports you'd need different top cases to handle that or a modular system that say has a different rear and left side to handle your motherboard of choice.atari030 wrote: 02 Sep 2025 04:15 What would be cool is if the footprint could be modified for an STFM or STE board. Yes, its been in the back of my mind for years. It'd need to be the base that vaires though, not the lid.

Totally agreed. Ira Velinsky was a genius. I also love what he did
with the STacy's case design. :)

Re: Mega STE case remake
I'm personally not convinced that the ST/Falcon board would fit into an MSTE/TT case at all. I'm going to have a look at dimensions when I get home, sometime Saturday probably, but even if it does fit, I think you'd need an awful lot more than just a modular bottom case to make it fit based on the internals of the MSTE I have.
I like the idea, I just don't think it is feasible simply by modding the case bottom.
