Hi,
I would like to start one of the more serious projects of recreating a PC emulator for the Atari ST series - Vortex AT-ONCE 386sx. I know it is possible and my history of accomplishments also supports the fact that it should work. While the availability of a version of the emulator for the STe is reasonably good, so far I have been unable to find a version for regular STs. So I am asking here for help in finding a DIP version. It would be possible to purchase at a reasonable price. If it would be possible to share for research it would be great. This would make it possible to bring this hardware back to the Atari scene after more than 30 years.

Hi Tori,
Are you asking for possible sources of a DIP package 386sx IC? If so - not sure you will find any. This was a 100 pin quad flatpack (SMT) and very short life in the market.

Nope, he is asking for the Vortex card with DIP connection and not the plcc connector. There was two models. The DIP connector was for the Atari ST(f,m) / Mega. The plcc version was for Mega STe.BigSteve wrote: 23 Aug 2023 23:38 Are you asking for possible sources of a DIP package 386sx IC? If so - not sure you will find any. Anyone?
I know that probably user GadgetUK164 ( memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=452 ) has this version of 386 emulator but I can't contact him. Can someone help with it?
For sure I can restore (reverse-engineer) this emulator, I know how to do it, so I need one to analyze. Don't be afraid...
