C070523-001 REV.C

Post by Chewbode »

This is a recently purchased 1040STF that was used. A prior owner tried to install a Tech-Specialties 1040A RAM expansion board, so you may notice destroyed traces between RAM chips U46 and U32 (far left), as well as between chips U61 and U30 (far right). Also, just between the RAM and the MMU, you may notice that the left legs of resistors R93 and R94 have been re-soldered, as the previous owner cut them for the RAM expansion. Also, the MMU is missing it's retention clip and RF shield for the video shifter is missing. Other than these issues, the board appears to be stock. I see no evidence of re-capping, etc.

In case anyone is interested, I've begun fixing the problems with the board by re-attaching all of the traces that were cut using bodges on the back of the motherboard.
