I have an Amiga A500 Hitek keyboard and when I first power on the Amiga and load something, lots of spaces run across the screen like the space bar is locked down (it isn't). As soon as I press any key, this stops and the keyboard works fine, including the space bar. If I power on the Amiga and press any key at the initial Workbench screen, I don't have any problems when I load something. It's almost like there's some kind of initialisation issue. The PCB looks good as do the connections. It's definitely a keyboard issue, as the same behaviour manifests in other A500s that I connect it up to.
Thanks in advance for any advice that you can proffer.

Re: Amiga A500 Hitek keyboard issue
Add 2 x 22pF caps across the crystal resonator (each to ground)! I've got a video on this coming up!
ie. From the resonator (2 pins), connect a cap from 1 pin, to ground, do the same with the other pin and the other cap.
Converniently ground is right next to the clock IN and OUT pins on the 6570.

Hi GadgetUK164
Thanks for the info on this, but I've now sold the keyboard (informing the buyer of the issue). I completely forgot that I had this post up, so I'll try and deactivate it if I can.
cheers
