A new Atari was born today.
I had a bit of a problem with programming of usable ROM, I forgot to byte-swap the ROM files so was stuck with a white screen for an hour or two. It is wonderful what an hour of badminton with a kid outside does to one's brain.
After the game, I checked ROM files, slapped my forehead and byte-swapped the file. 2 minutes later, Atari booted TOS 1.04 with success. After that, I reprogrammed EPROM with Emutos 1.2.1 and TOS 1.04, both are booting fine.
Regarding DAC STV8438, is it normal for that chip to run really hot, ~50C?
And a couple of obligatory first-boot pictures

Re: Flegmatik's build
Today I've fitted 16MHz BOOSTER 2021 edition, burned 256K Emutos on EPROM, implemented a partial audio fix, plugged in the Blitter chip, added S2 Midi board and played some games.
I tested MIDI sound with Bomberjack and it works as expected.
Partial audio fix Booster, S2 and floppy cable Crammed all together into 1040STF case Gembench without Blitter (VDI is slower on Emutos than 2.06) Gembench with Blitter Every self-respecting system needs a shell And the game of Joust

3.3V bus fix today. I hope I'll be able to test it out one day :D.
