Hi Folks,
I have two identical CF cards - recently decided to rebuild my Amiga OS 3.2.2 image just from a housekeeping perspective. I appreciate Sysinfo 4.4 isnt great for testing disk performance but once I'd finished my rebuild I noticed that my old CF card reported around 6MB/S and the new build only reports 4MB/s and I am left wondering what I've done differently that would impact the reported performance of the card.
Block size on both is 1024.
My A1200 boots from custom kickstart ROM's with the EHIDE driver.
4MB/s is still awesome - it's simply a puzzle. I've tried different MMULIB versions and it doesnt make any difference - so I thought I might ask here to see if anyone else has seen this before?

Also it helps build a picture where our "good traffic" is coming from for detection scripts.

Re: EHIDE Driver - Disk Performance Question
when you rebuilt the cf cards did you use the PFS3-aio filesystem as this is the fastest, also do you have MMUlibs `MuFASTROM` installed so your 'ROM maps to fast ram for more speed

Re: EHIDE Driver - Disk Performance Question
Hi! No - I used FFS - but I did check long file names in the partition tool … as it turns out NOT ticking that and repartitioning solved the problem. But if a pain rebuilding again .. but I am a bit sad and am quite enjoying myself.
