As most of you know, the Tramiel family founded Commodore in the 1950's, but left in the mid-1980's to form Atari Corporation after buying the business from Warner. Under the management of the Tramiels, Atari brought to market the Atari ST lineage of computers, as well as video game systems such as the Lynx and Jaguar. While at Atari, Leonard served as Vice-President of Software.

They went to Microsoft to ask about a Windows operating system. Lucky for us that it didn't work on a Motorola processor.
