Mystery piece

Post by PeckPeekPoke »

Torturing my Exxos Psu (3.11AF2) with hot air, I accidentally knocked off one of the SMD parts over the DC outputs. This spot was labeled C9 on the Red Exxos PSU, and is marked with a +.

Whatever this is, measures 0uF, and >3Mohms, but it only has one silver connector on its bottom...so please excuse my ignorance!, but...
Is there a particular alignment that must be observed when reinstalling this part?

Thanks !!

Is it just the ceramic capacitor down the bottom? They don't have a polarity... just solder it back on.

I dare ask why you need hot air for this :D

I just wanted to make sure, thanks for the help, @Steve .
I had used the hot air to temporarily remove the DC wires.
