Amiga 1200 + TF1230/64 - DF0: problem

Hi,

Have an A1200 with TF1230 (with wrong roms,not including ehide.device,waiting for them) ...

WB3.2 installed and updatet to 3.2.1 ...

But have problems with DF0: ...

Some disks are read OK, but some show grey DF0: on workbench saying DF0:"Unrecognised" ...

The question is, did the Update removed some library or some device that is needed for the DF0: ???

Are you saying everything works with Kickstart 3.1?

Also are you using a completely plain 3.2.1 install to test?

If (a) is true and (b) is the case then you should contact the 3.2 developers. Otherwise we'll have a think here.

Well, have problems with rom's, first 3.2 rom's for TF1230 came, but not working, second 3.2 rom's were not for TF1230, so now waiting for 3.2 TF1230 roms ...

But Have to test all that with original 3.1 rom's ...

It's strange, be cause Turrican (new disk) don't work (but it worked), and DUNE work (before and now) ...

But will test it this weekend and write a review ...

Also to mention that the Turricane and Dune disks were sent with the A1200 when I bought it, the other disks are made on A500, but think they are all the same and should not be problem to read them in A1200 ...

And also to mention that the workbench is on CF card on internal IDE port

@Nbdy sorry I don't know your Amiga knowledge.

Did these disks did work, but now they don't after updating Workbench?

Some disks for example games, are a custom disk format so they won't be able to be read in Workbench .
Disks seem unreliable now so many years have passed. Could be disk error or drive dirt?

The problem is that I have found also a NEC and a mitsumi drive, that I "bricked" to work with amiga, but all the result is the same ...

And yes the disks did work before the update, now not sure was it on 3.1 rom's or on 3.2 rom's that is what I need to test ...

And the knowledge, it was 20-25 years ago, but now i'm trying to catch all again :-)

Re-seat the cable.
take it off the motherboard, take it off the floppy drive, and re-seat it.

Just saw this thread and I tested my TF1230 with OS3.2.1 roms and the Floppy is working 100% so as stated you need to check your hardware config
