Serial 2/Lan port (Mega STe)

Okay, I've not had reason before, but now I do, so I'm playing around
with my Mega STe's serial2/LAN port. The Mega STe has modem1, modem2,
and the serial 2/LAN port, which is supposed to be the high speed one.

I hooked my WiModem232 to it and set the modem to 38400. I did the
same with SERIAL.CPX.

Disappointingly, neither TAZ nor CoNnect95 could find it. STalker, on
the other hand, did. I was able to communicate with the WiModem232
just fine. I am using HSModem.

I've recently installed the RSVE mod in the Mega ST4 that runs DarkForce!
so it's running at 38400 now. I was able to connect to it at 38400 just fine
with the WiModem232 and STalker.

However, I had a lot of trouble downloading. I kept getting CRC and sub packet
too long errors before timing out.

I can download just fine from DarkForce with a Win10 box and SyncTerm or my
Kubuntu Linux laptop and SyncTerm. Next I'll try some random PC based BBS and
see if I can download from there.

So anyone else using the serial 2/LAN port and if so, what software are you using
with it? Can you download successfully?
