Please log into the forum when you make a purchase

Can people please log into the forum when you make a purchase from the shop.
It will help me contact you if you have a problem with your order.


This is because there are so many problems with people not putting in their correct address and a lot of the time I cannot email people because of things outlined in THIS thread. So the communication should be by the forum by the private message system. So if you are not registered with the forum, I cannot contact you.

You do of course need to actually log into the forum to see if you have any messages once a week or something. Of course this does open a can of worms because not everybody manages to register on the forum to start with. But that is indeed a problem I have as well that I cannot contact people half the time. I just have no way of knowing if the email has been sent, or received, or even read otherwise. The whole thing is turning into a full-time job again.

I have also added a note to the tracking page.

Assuming people actually check the tracking link either by the link supplied after checkout, or manually doing it HERE, or logging into your account on the forum and viewing the information in your control panel as explained HERE. As illustrated in the above image, if the tracking status does not change within a few days then you really need to contact us via the forum to see if there is a problem with your order. If you did actually log into the forum when you purchase, then I would send you a message explaining the problem anyway.

As usual the majority of problems tend to be USA orders, in that people don't seem to know where they live half the time. Or check their address is entered correctly or completely before they complete checkout. I've been pointing this out for probably years now and it is just got beyond a joke now.

As said before I will likely surcharge USA people for all the additional hassle it causes because people cannot enter their address correctly. For those who are in USA and do actually enter their address properly (which is almost nobody) I'll probably do a subsystem that if they enter their address into their forum profile, and login during orders, and this is verified as the correct address, then they will not get the surcharge. But in actual fact I may just do this globally anyway. In that forum members do not get the surcharge (If they are filled out their profile properly). I really did not want to force people to register to make a purchase but it is unfortunately where we are heading.

I'm sorry if this future system is going to upset people. But I really have no choice now. Enough is enough. We all should be adults and have the competence to enter an address and at least check it before clicking submit! It takes like five seconds! I really have better things to do with my time than keep googling where people live and emailing them and messing about because they cannot enter their address properly. This is basically a service which we are having to do for people. So as a service, it will be a chargeable service in the future.
