What floppy controller mod is this? STF

Post by 32bitminus »

Was cleaning out my old bin of stuff to sell some things and found this. Appears to be a diode on the floppy controller?

Drops the voltage to the chip to "solve" bus noise issues. It was "common practice" on the IMP DMA chips and IMP shifters. Though don't recall ever seeing a diode on the 1772 itself. These were "factory bodges" done by Atari.

Yeah absolutely. Also why I ultimately gave up and designed a new motherboard. It was just easier
