Back to Atari - now here

Post by LarryL »

Hi,

As a new user to this forum, I like to introduce myself.

My Name is Michael and I am from Germany (northern part), I am 52 years old and an electronics engineer
When i was young (long time ago ;-) ) I used to have an 1040ST for many years - extensively upgraded at that point of time…
I used it until the beginning of my time at the University, then I somehow had to switch to a PC

Since about 7-8 years I slowly got back to various retro computer stuff, including Atari ST and the 8bit series.
I also got involved with C64, TI99/4a and Sinclair Spectrum/ZX81

My main enjoyment is building systems, incl. repairing and soldering stuff
Therefore I have build various reproductions (Atari 8bit, Sinclair Spectrum & ZX81, as well as C64)

Now I have come back to Atari ST and started building an ATX version of a ST motherboard.
Needed a few parts for this, so I visited Exxos store and added a few of the other fancy add-ons (booster, TF536)

So, I think I might need some help, at least when I start building the TF536…

I am active in different other forums (same username) - so maybe I have already „met“ the one or the other…

Wish you all a pleasant rest of the weekend

Cheers
Michael

Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.

Welcome to the forum!

You should be able to get some good support on the TF536 for the ST here...a few of us have them installed on various incarnations of ST h/w.

I'll be very interested to hear how you get on with the ATX build!

Good luck

Oh, pretty good, so far.
Except from having sourced the wrong PIC, most of the things I was able to test without keyboard&Mouse.
So, waiting for the right PIC and then continuing the tests.
Also waiting for the various adapter boards for the ports, as well as for the ROM-Port-PCB
