Can someone help me, I recently bought a TF1230 from Retroguru but can't get it to work properly. Under 3.0 it boots but only 25.9Mhz under SysInfo and can't get Addmem to work (but that might just be to my own lack of knowledge on how to get that to work proper). In an attempt to fix it I tried burning KS3.1 but that doesn't even boot when the TF1230 is installed, only giving me a black screen. KS3.1 only boots if I remove the "enable030" jumper with the Amiga functioning no different than if the card wasn't installed.
I tried mailing the builder a week ago, but got a message back from his wife that he died last week and that she doesn't know anything about it.
My own suspicious is that is has an old firmware. But I don't know, is there any way to check the firmware version?
Might be good to know, I have a 2B motherbaord with E123C and E125C removed.

DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Sounds like a bad build. I've never heard of a builder dying before ... jeez. Some photos?relo999 wrote: 02 Dec 2022 12:36 Can someone help me, I recently bought a TF1230 from Retroguru but can't get it to work properly. EDIT: My gut feeling on this is that the ram is bad. Which is why it works in 3.0 and not 3.1.

Re: TF1230 Issues
As a guess I'd say the overclocked 33mhz CPU is toast or the samsung RAM is not compatible

Is there some way to check? I have a oscilloscope, multimeter and all that. Just no clue where to start testing any of that.supaduper wrote: 02 Dec 2022 14:32 As a guess I`d say the overclocked 33mhz CPU is toast or the samsung RAM is not compatible

Re: TF1230 Issues
If the CPU wont handle 50Mhz this would also be the same symptoms. As the CPU will run at 14Mhz when talking to chipram due to my crack smoking design.

Re: TF1230 Issues
From the underside and shallow angle photos of the card the CPU appears to be soldered directly to the board without a socket so unfortunately swapping that out easily to test another is probably off the table.

Indeed soldered in, but even if it wasn't I don't have another CPU to test with.go0se wrote: 02 Dec 2022 15:01 From the underside and shallow angle photos of the card the CPU appears to be soldered directly to the board without a socket so unfortunately swapping that out easily to test another is probably off the table.
So from what I gather advice is basically "send to a builder to get it working", correct?terriblefire wrote: 02 Dec 2022 14:55If the CPU wont handle 50Mhz this would also be the same symptoms. Re: TF1230 Issues
This is basically how support for TF boards should work, but of course in this case it is more complicated since this person appears to be dead :(relo999 wrote: 02 Dec 2022 15:24 So from what I gather advice is basically "send to a builder to get it working", correct?
Does anyone know who this person was?
