someone can help me with installation tips for an Amiga 1000 DF0/DF1 boot selector switch

The two large chips to the left of the floppy cable in the 2nd image are the CIA's (8520s), I'm not sure which us U8, you'd have to how a closer photo, but you have to remove the chip, insert it into your adapter (making sure the notch is in the correct location), then insert that into the socket that you removed the chip from, again making sure the notch stays at the same end.
A closer photo of those 2 chips would help to identify which to replace - is the floppy switcher specifically for the A1000 or is it one for an A500 - I asked because the chip ID would differ between the 2 models (U8).

So I tried it and it works. Even the vampire still fits. Great.
