So I've set aside a bit of time today to try to sort through what I should be bringing to the event.
So far then, a pile of most of my downstairs stuff which will be coming:
The Mega ST and Checkmate A1500+ from here:
And probably these:
Hopefully I have it covered, lead/cable wise. I'm bringing the usual stuff, including; multi way power leads, MIDI cables, an XLR Philips microphone, C=64 paddles, CGA leads(!), a C=light pen, a light gun, some Amiga modulators, 1084 RGB monitor leads, PSU and 4 player adapter and even a Quartus USB Blaster/programmer:
Below in the mid right of the picture is some stuff which I will bring for sale; the other bits are staying at home (unless someone gives me a good reason to bring them). Sale items include a 5.25" floppy case, lots of Amiga/ST mice, A600 PSU, lots of SCSI1/2 leads, a ZIP drive/discs and 50 piece Mega ST keyboard shell! lol
The following pictured items will not make it to the show, unless someone specifically asks. I am showing them here more for curiosity:
Lots of DSHD 3.5" NOS floppies:
Some mid 90s VR tech, including a UR Gear Union Reality head tracker (designed by the famous Ferrari designer, Pinninfarina, no less!lol) and a box full of I-O systems i-glasses 3D stereoscopic headsets/parts:
Finally, some old PC bits, including a serial drawing pad and some IDE drive adaptors. But there is also a Gyromouse in there, which (IIRC) can be moved spatially (i.e. off the table/y axis!):
So that's it for today. There some more parts upstairs, but that's a job for another day. Stay tuned for more.

DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Re: Cyber Legends...the preperation
Could you bring some of the unopened floppies please.
Still managed to hold off going Gotek as nearly all (95%) my floppies from the late 80s/90s still work across my 6 machines, only reason i can imagine they have survived so well is that they were always stored in a proper floppy holder/box and always inside the house i.e. not in loft or garage with extreme temps/moisture.
always need more . . . .

My pile is growing too.
Plus, added a mystery computer you might not heard of.

Re: Cyber Legends...the preperation
This morning is my test it or fix it first day for equipment I'm taking to the Cyber Legends.
Up so far is my Apple //e which is actually behaving itself quite nicely. Its providing a bit of background music whilst I dig out the Atari 800 and others.

If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

Re: Cyber Legends...the preperation
I've got my equipment pile ready in the living room now...
I will be adding a box of various Zip drives I rescued from work to give away (SCSI & parallel port, some with PSUs). I don't know if they work.
Would anyone like an Epson LX80 dot matrix printer?

Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Re: Cyber Legends...the preperation
I have been thinking about what I will be bringing along and think I have a final-ish list:
Sell/Swap:
Early 2000s Duron 800 based PC with period translucent plastic bit
Atari 520STFM
BBC Micro dual floppy drive
Metal 80s monitor stand
Philips CM8833-2 monitor
Original Mega Drive
Altec Lansing beige speakers
Big box of used DSDD floppies for free
Display:
Probably IBM PS/2 486

Re: Cyber Legends...the preperation
People seem to be bringing what I had considering bringing (MegaST, MegaSTe, Falcon030).
We don't want lots of the same thing I guess?
I'll wait until Thursday afternoon. Then test a selection of things I've not seen anyone else bringing.
Maybe some newer items? What is considered Retro these days? Gamecube/Xbox OG?

Re: Cyber Legends...the preperation
@alexh I understand, the concept of 'old/retro' is a relative, movable goalpost.
I was trying to aim for (pre-2k) computing goods, rather than any gaming consoles.
However, I will not stand in the way of computing diversity! :D
If anyone else is wondering what to bring, an extra C64 or two wouldn't go amiss (as its the 40th birthday of the C=64 after all). Plus if anyone has a 'real' 1541, that would be most welcome (especially if I can borrow it, otherwise I may have to bring the C-128D and link up to use the 1571; that's if I can find my IEC cable! lol).

Re: Cyber Legends...the preperation
I have been fixing the Phoenix world over the weekend to bring to the event.
It has made me realise we may need to have a soldering iron or two at the event. :)
