Newbie collector

Post by retrocomputercollector »

Hi all, from Solihull, West Midlands. Erm, got a few Ataris in the collection, 520STE, STF, STFM x3, 65XE, 2600 x2, 2600 Jr x2, 7800, 800XL x2 along with a couple of 1050 external drives. That's roughly all my Atari bits excluding commodore and everything else. Somewhere around 84 computers and 41 consoles collected and no more space!
I was brought up with 8 bit. Started off with the ZX81, moved to the Spectrum, Atari ST for music sequencing then the Amiga. Sold everything back in the day though. Now I collect and restore as a little personal hobby. A Nostalgic pastime :).

I think a lot of us here are in a similar vein.

Welcome to the forum!

Quite a collection - possibly giving @rubber_jonnie some competition there?

:poke: :-D

Too true! I just need the time (and money) to finish off the repairs & refurb to most of my collection - definitely time to concentrate on what I have & finish off some of the long-standing projects before starting to do the same on the synth collection - some of those are as old as my original 1040 STF now (dating back to early 1987).

Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.
