Hi, I'm a french software engineer. I'm 49 and started learning to code when I was 10 on an Oric Atmos. I later got an Atari 1040 STf, and even later PCs and Macs. I started a computer collection years ago. I now possess some interesting stuff: Atari (my trusted 1040 STf, and also a Falcon 030), Amiga (500, 500+, 1200, 4000), Apple (IIGS, Macintosh Quadra 840AV, Macintosh G5), Ti 99/4A, Sinclair QL, Sun Blade 2500 Silver, SGI Indy, NeXT Station Color Turbo.
I have some guidelines for my collection: 16 bit and up, not x86, not server, and I try to get the best version of each architecture. Those are all theoretical, there are exceptions and in practice I often take what I can find (I don't think I will ever own a SGI Tezro or a BeBox).
I'm also interested in FPGA. I got a MiSTER, and I'm currently learning VHDL and Verilog. It's really a fascinating technology.
