After seeing the "blast from the past" video by @GadgetUK164 this week. I thought I would mention the original PeST site is still up. pest.atari.org and I have cloned it to my site as well now. https://exxosforum.co.uk/atari/last/pest/index.htm If anyone knows how to clone a flickr page then let me know so I can host a copy on my site as well.
A lot of you new guys won't know of Allison. I worked with her to develop PeST over 10 years ago. It was one of the best selling products of all time. We had great fun working together on various projects. She was a great techie and good friend.
Allison was tragically killed in a motorcycling accident back in 2011 aged just 39. A lot of us "old guys" still remember her and what she contributed to the community. I , as do others, still miss and think of her often. Such a waste for someone to be taken so young.
Please pass my wishes onto Colin and her mother @GadgetUK164 .

Re: Allison Challis & PeST website
I think of Allison quite often. I have a couple of hardware items
that the 2 of you produced. I have the PS controller that's adapted
for ST use (like a joystick). I know because of the PS controller's
black color I use it with my STacy (which I painted black - until
something darker comes along). :)
I've still got the postcards and pictures she sent me after I
purchased a few items.
Always friendly, witty and an Atari ally... The scene is less
without her presence...

Re: Allison Challis & PeST website
My first encounter with her work, was when I was working on the ForgetMeClock II project.
It is her modified version of the software that made it all come together, but she sadly died before I appeared on the scene.
Having had a school friend also killed in a motorcycle accident, I feel I know a little of what her family went through, it's an awful tragedy when people are taken too soon.
It's good to see that her legacy lives on and that she is still remembered after all the time that's passed.

Re: Allison Challis & PeST website
Allison & I had some interesting technical HW debates over on Atari-Forum over the years, not as heated as the ones I had with Pera Putnik (ppera/AtariZoll) or Simeon Webber (Simbo) but interesting. I had a lot of respect for her. She was definitely not an armchair engineer (like me). I was sad when she passed. I think her friend set up a non-technical website about her life, I remember it was an interesting read (if it is still around).
