Storm ST drivers for PC Speed

A while ago, I developed drivers to make the RTC and (more importantly) the 8 MiB Alt-RAM of my Storm ST (or CloudyStorm ST) accessible to MS-DOS running on the PC Speed. I did not release them back then because the amount of owners of a Storm ST and a PC Speed was probably very small. (Maybe just me.) But considering that tOri has now reverse-engineered the PC Speed (see https://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.p ... 10#p429010), more people might start to have one.

Thus, I decided to release the drivers: https://www.newtosworld.de/viewtopic.php?p=83. They are provided with a short documentation, but otherwise as-is, as a free extra to Storm ST owners.

This screenshot shows Microsoft Word for Windows making use of the Alt-RAM as expanded memory (via a third-party tool, which is also explained in the documentation):

I just want to thank you for sharing this. I'm that one guy. I bought a used Mega from Ebay and it had an ATspeed installed. I installed a Cloudystorm and was wondering about accessing it's ALT- RAM.


Just the thing.
