Looking for RAM Chips for A600 RAM Expansion projects

Hi all

I have a few projects on the go, got everything I need apart for the RAM chips for the following projects, copied some info from the githubs

Was hoping to find them on the store but sadly not

If anyone has any of the modules below going spare and willing to sell please let me know

The required RAM Type is 16 Mbit (1M×16) DRAM in the SOJ-42 package with up to 70-80 ns access time. It is 5v-only DRAM (not SDRAM!) often found in old 72-pin SIMMs, EDO chips might work or not. All chips having 8160 in their part number should be OK

A selection of most of the above chips can be found on AliExpress. They will be used pulls and some will be DOA, but when dealing with chips of that vintage that's the reality.

Read the customer reviews and try to select some that have an image that isn't obviously reprinted (Text whiter than a celebrity's teeth or logo that looks like it's been drawn by a child).

Of course the listing image doesn't guarantee you'll receive what is shown, but it is generally better to buy from a seller that is showing an obvious original pull rather than one trying to pull the wool over your eyes.

Yeah I have seen some on there but the delivery time is so long and I'm eager to finish my projects, the faster delivery prices are crazy

Was just hoping someone here would have some spare, much faster delivery

If some arrive dead on arrival us it best to install 1 at a time and test so you know which are no good?

Hi, I have a couple of the AS4C256K16FO you can have. They are left over from when I built some megachip boards. One the writing as worn away.

I think they should work for your first expansion which I assume is a 1mb chipram?
