Terrible Fire 534 WHDload Problems
Good afternoon, I installed a Terrible Fire 534 on my Amiga 500 rev 6A, Kickstart Rom 3.2.1, Megachip 2MB, CF Sandisk 8GB and Workbench 3.2.1, but I'm commenting on the errors I'm having with WHDload 18.7. Library 68030 is installed.
In Whdload, I have failures like for example:
Titus de Fox, the graphics are corrupted and it crashes.
Adams Family loads and the screen stays black, it hangs.
Bubble Bobble, graphics are corrupted.
Toky crashes, black screen.
Sensible Soccer, go back to the Workbench.
Disable in Whdload Config:
* noautovec
* mmu
Could you guide me where to start looking?

I would start with a shorter IDE cable for starters - to rule that out.
If I get some time I'll try those games on the weekend.

As @dalek mentioned the length of the IDE cable can cause some weird issues with the TF534. So that would be a good starting point use a 3cm / shorter cable and see if the issues persist.

The CPU re locator..... how many of them are you using? The TF534 looks very far back, are you using two CPU re locators?

Well friends, there I answer your answers and tell you my tests.
I use only 1 relocator, and the IDE cable is 25cm.
Out of curiosity, since I couldn't find a logical explanation, I copied the image from my CF Sandisk 8GB 60 MB/S to a Lexar 16GB 1066X 160 MB/S UDMA7.
To my surprise, the workbench loaded faster and all the games that had problems, I didn't.
The only game I had to add the NOAUTOVEC command to was GODS to make it work without problems.
I guess the problem lies with my 8GB Sandisk CF.
Regarding the length of the ide cable, it is the same as I mentioned before, about 25cm.
I never had bad experiences with CF Sandisk, but in this case, it seems that the TF doesn't like it too much, or the length of the ide cable doesn't like it too much for my CF Sandisk, or it doesn't like the MB/s speed of CF Sandisk.
I'm on my way to receive the TF536 and I'll let you know how it goes.
Do you recommend IDE to CF with built-in buffers?
I read them all.
Thank you very much for your answers! you can always learn new things.

I think it's very brave of you to have your Amiga standing open like that, considering all the water on your monitor... is your roof leaking (like mine)? c".) lol

Re: Terrible Fire 534 WHDload Problems
Thought I would continue in this thread, rather than create a new one.
I have got my TF534 back up and running in my Rev6a A500.
I have 6a with 72a Agnus and I have done the 1mb mod - so that I have my A501 seen as chip. (adjustment of the 2 sets of pads)
The TF534 is rev 2d if that matters. I am currently using the attached IDE device. I have CF readers and cards I also have a microSD card reader(which I would prefer to use)
I did have a 6.5cm cable, have switched to a 5cm cable ( I had one) because of the above post. I can get a few games to run, but not many. I get access errors, I get other errors. ALL WHDLOAD related. WB and other software seems to work fine.
Are there specific options I should use for 534? I am new to Amiga and WHDLOAD, so not sure how to find the universal prefs file, but I have read some of the WHDLOAD options. mmu/s should be on? ANY other suggestions? OH so thats 1mb chip and the 4mb from the 534.

Re: Terrible Fire 534 WHDload Problems
The most consistent error I am getting now always begins with
Exception "Access Fault" ($B008) - always the same address.
Anyone have an idea on that address. I have googled, and a number of forums come up.. nothing specific on TF534 - but a number on 030 updated machines. Love to hear anyone with ideas??
I have tried both clicking on installed (whdload icons) and using Tinyloader. Same results.

PS I have changed to a CF card reader now. I dont see a difference, but most people seem to think CF card is better.
