Mega STE dual TOS?

Post by Velociraptor »

Has there been a dual TOS PCB for a Mega STE made?

I'm going to put mine to PP's 2.16 and while he mentioned that he has a MSTE compatible version of 1.62 and I have said not for now I'm wondering if I might as well get the bits in and do it.

Not as far as I am aware no. I do not produce much items past the STF series.

There are probably hacks for it about somewhere using larger ROMs and lifting address lines to switch etc

Yeah that makes sense. The MSTE needs MSTE ROMs so you'd not be able to use it with anything before the first MSTE one 2.05 - well unless you used a modified one.

Ta!

Grab a pair of SST39SF020, flash both TOS, lift pin 30 (a17), solder a pull-up to 5v and a switch to ground linking both pins and you’ll have a dual TOS.
