Falcon (C-LAB MK1) PSU

Post by HigashiJun »

I was quite surprised at the PSU voltage specs when I got my Falcon :

Has this machine a dual voltage PSU, like the Mega STE ?

When I opened the Falcon, the PSU seemed to be a normal 220V one, like the following one:

The guy who sold me the Falcon told me he was using it as it is, with no trans of any kind.

Does anyone of you has the same machine and could share his thoughts ?

Cheers.

Thank you, but I think MKIIs have a fixed voltage PSU.

I've read that Skynet is not eager to help, so I guess it's not worth wasted effort.

@HigashiJun Just post some photos of the PSU here maybe we can see if it truly is dual voltage .. I personally think C-lab may have just been lazy with their labels and just wrote both voltages on the rear. I think the capacity of the large capacitor is the main give-away for being 100v/240v. I think it's much lower uF on 100v.

Maybe they were supposed to put a black marker or sticker over the voltage it isn't, but for whatever reason it isn't here.

I will take some pictures of it, but I'd like to finish my Just Speccy 128 project first.

Next week should be good.

@HigashiJun I take it you didn't take photos!? I'm just researching something so was interested to see the photos.
