Why do you ask?
Will it work with different chips... mostly likely. Will you get the same range in terms of cable length... probably not.
If you use a different chip you are essentially conducting an experiment. Let us know how you get on if you decide to try.

I couldn’t get any VHC. I’ve have a load of HCT, HC & LVC in stock so gave them a try, the Amiga won’t even boot with any of those fitted. They will replace IC9 & IC10 though.
