Hey all,
I didn't previously know that these little things existed, I had heard of IBM microdrives in a CF form factor of course but never these things. I was basically just trying to SSD mod a 6th Gen iPod classic 120gb, I opened it up, lo and behold an actual physical 1.8'' hard disk. I bought the bits to replace it with an SD card of course.... But! I HAD to buy a ZIF to regular 44pin IDE adaptor if they existed, and guess what, they do lol.
Anyway I haven't had a chance to test it out in an Atari or anything yet, just a bit of fun. Here's a couple of photos.

Re: Toshiba 1.8'' ZIF Drives
Nice one, that's good to know as I may have a couple of those drives still knocking about.
The ZIF drives were used in the smaller laptops and portable devices. We had a load of Sony Vaio's at work for the Directors and they all had 1.8" ZIF drives. This was about 15 years ago!
