Hi, my name is Del but I go by Delvis. I do a lot of Elvis Karaoke so the nickname stuck.
Started with the Atari 400 with cassette loader in 1982 while in the US Army. I moved to West Germany at the time with the US Army near Bamberg and later Nurenberg and continued in the Atari 8 bit world. Went through the 800, then 1200Xl, 800XL, and later the 130XE. In 1986 got out of the US Army and moved back to the Houston Texas area. Got my first 520ST and external floppy.

Belonged to a few Atari User groups in the Houston area at the time. Did about 60% on the 8bit and 40% on the ST. Later in 2000 moved to the Austin Texas area. In 2002 and 2003 wrote online articles for the My-Atari magazine. These are still out there in Archive sites. In 2003 or so while in the Netherlands on business I meet Mr. Atari and his wife Sandra. I had purchased several of his 8bit hardware pieces. In 2006 I gave all my Atari 8 bit stuff to the local users in the Austin area. I put my ST stuff up till 2013 when I had time to get back into it. Between 2013-2016 beefed up my Mega 4 with IDE w/ SSD, Ethernet, PS2, and the CD ROM reader/ burner. Then in 2016 I moved and stored all my Atari stuff again.

So now in June 2021, I settled back down to the point I pulled my ST stuff out of storage and added a few new pieces, and back at it. I just turned 64 years old so I hope I never have to pack this stuff away again.

The hardest thing for me right now is to re-read and relearn all the new toys I added to my system. Also to discover all the changes from 2016 to 2021 in the Atari ST world. Glad to be back.

Thank you and hope to be a good citizen on here.
I look forward to all the stuff I need to re-learn and stuff I don't know yet on the ST. Back in the '90s was playing with GFA basic and in the original 800, I had played with the original Atari basic. Always thought STOS Basic was cool but maybe this time I will take the time to learn enough to use it. Glad to be here and on this forum.
