Keyboards for H5.. or recasing?

Hello all,

I have not read every thread here.. but if this has been discussed can you point me to it.

I have used effile3 np.. and can use it with this board.. but wondered.

1. - It would seem this being a development board and the board people to upgrades and mod with, that few get RE_CASED in ST cased.. buttoned up.

2. That being said and where some of the expansions are located I assume people are using other alternatives for keyboards? What are those?

I have a number of megaST keyboards, that I would like to use with his.. OR I guess I can use an INTERNAL effile. But has it been looked into to putting a megaST/MegaSTE keyboard plug on the board? or a way to adapt it?

SO there has been no discussion on this? Everyone just uses the stock keyboard? I wont be able to fit my PAK030 addons in the 5v slots and have the keyboard there, so I have to do something else.
I can get the internal effile3 or is there a way to convert the standard plug and wire it up to a RJ11 socket?

The white line is the keyway.

You gotta think about the H5 and such differently, the slogan is 'a platform for the future' so eventually you won't be using/needing antiquated accelerators like the PAK, they will be left on your old Ataris while you'll be plugging in super small and compact devices/accelerators into your H5+ (when they come into existence) so trying to solve fitting a PAK into a H5 is like trying to put a square peg in a round hole.

Yep. The H4 was more for adding original hardware. The H5 addons are designed for the platform. All other hardware addons will basically become obsolete and not compatible unless specifically designed for the H5 platform.

There's nothing to stop people using the 5v slots for whatever you want. But don't expect to be able to use all the H5 addons as well. Anyway, getting somewhat off topic ...
