4MB STE Upgrade

Ordered one of your 4MB STE upgrades. I just went to install it and discovered 2 of the simms were damaged in transit and the Surface mount caps had come off of the boards - I found them lurking in the bottom of the bag they came in.

I tried fitting the undamaged SIMMs to my 520STE - I removed the two existing Toshiba SIMMS and replaced them with the 2 undamaged SIMMs. The new SIMMs are a very tight fit but I think I got them properly seated however the machine will not post with the 2 SIMMs inserted. I just get vertical bars on the display.

If I switch back to the original ram in the same slots 1&3 or 2&4 the machine boots fine.

How to proceed?

I have some photos of the damaged SIMMs if needed.
