Hi everybody!
I'm new here, and was drawn to the forum by all of the great PCB-clone projects. I've done my own clone of the ColecoVision (which I still have to get around to releasing publicly; waiting on a friend to finish building his) and I keep getting tempted to dive back in for another round with a different machine.
The board replicas I'm considering doing in the next couple years are the Sharp X68000 ACE I/O board (mine will pull pads and traces if you look at it sideways, from a combination of battery and water damage) and some of the harder-to-find peripheral cards for the NEC PC-8801 and PC-6001. I also just fixed a Watara Supervision, and I'm wondering if it would be possible to build a replica with off-the-shelf chips instead of their finicky globtops.
As for Ataris specifically, I have a pair of 1040STFs that occasionally need a little bit of work, and an SC1224 monitor that needs a lot of work. I hope to eventually get everything working well, and get a RAM upgrade pushed into the better of the two machines so I can play Rude Llamatron on real hardware.
