BlueSCSI testing on Atari

Hey guys,

You may/may not be aware of the BlueSCSI project from the Mac68k forums, I just finished building and testing one and it seems to work on my Atari TT. I haven't tested my Falcon yet, I'll update the thread later with those results.

Update: I am still doing testing, is not working 100% yet as I have had a write error. It might not be the BlueSCSI being the problem though, I think my 5v rail needs adjusting as it's at 4.8v and I probably need to mess around with termination.
Update2: I can successfully copy 6000 files from IDE to BlueSCSI in TOS, but using Kobald causes the stm32 to lock up. Not sure why yet.

Is maximum 2mb/s?

1400MB/Sec - 1500MB/Sec is the max ...

Atari Falcon has a little bit more speed but not much.

@frank.lukas Okay, well the project is very new and new firmware may change the speeds. I think on a Mac they have measured speeds up to 1.5mb/s.

Yep that is slow, but it may just be early days for the project. What driver are you using? I can see it's HDDRIVER but is it the latest?

I'm now wondering it it would work on the MSTE, though I think that is limited to 1GB drives on SCSI.

@rubber_jonnie on v11.04 right now, I know there's a 11.05 tho. It's only 7gb because I created a 7gb DD image on the SD. You basically just put individual image files on the card and it populates the SCSI IDs with them, really cool and easy to configure.

I can copy thousands of files in TOS without issue, but if I use Kobald the stm32 locks up after a few hundred files. Anyone know why this might be the case?

900kB/Sec on the Atari TT SCSI port is slow ...

Compared to a similar contraption involving the same "blue pill" plugged to ACSI that is said to reach 300kb/sec, it's quite good though.
