Hi guys,
I've had this capacitor blow in an ultrasonic cleaner, I'm trying to find a replacement. I'm not too familiar with this type could someone point me in the right direction, thanks.
It says: EPQC E68 1.0K 250VDC

Re: Help find capacitor
Also the bridge rectifier is a GBU8J 0740A, I'll replace this too as it's probably the reason behind the capacitor overheating

Re: Help find capacitor
I think it may be EPOC and not EPQC based on a search.
Have a look here,it may help: http://www.anglia.com/product_guide/caps/112_115.pdf

Re: Help find capacitor
I'm not 100% sure, that would make it 1uF, which is a value supported on that data sheet, but then so is 0.1uF.
Is there any more wording, or anything else on the other cap?

Ok, so I had a look here: https://www.wikihow.com/Read-a-Capacitor
And I believe I have an answer - 1.0 uF with a tolerance of +- 10% indicated by the letter K.

Re: Help find capacitor
@rubber_jonnie thank you man, I appreciate it.
That exact manufacturer/model epoc seems hard to find, I might get this Panasonic equivalent instead:

Re: Help find capacitor
Just as a side note, High voltage capacitors near rectifier are usually suppression capacitors XY rated type stuff. They are designed to take a lot more hammering than regular caps are.
This one seems to be a good page about them..
