TOS Upgrade board for Mega ST

Post by jfceklosky »

I have an original Mega ST 2 REV 5 MB with the original 2 chip TOS 1.4 installed

I am looking for the board and TOS chips to update this to TOS 2.06

Thanks, but looks like just the decoder board is out of stock, so I would have to get the following:

16MHz ST BOOSTER REV 1.4 £65 2 In Stock [0212]

Does the above decoder and accelerator work with the Mega ST 2? Rev 5.0 MB

I am building up more TOS206 boards but its slow going..

I can't say if anything will work on the MEGA, they need the mandatory fixes doing to give it the best chance of working with upgrades. Some people have no problems at all, others give up. Its just luck of the draw with these old machines. Some are just more inherently "bad" than others.

The kit itself works fine as I test them in a H5 board.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is an H5 board?

I have two Mega ST 2's one I added the Adspeed 16Mhz, updated the memory to 4 MB, and added TOS 2.06 using whatever was available at the time.

The other Mega 2 is all original, Rev 5, has rainbow TOS using 2 of the 6 sockets, and it only has 2 of the 4 memory banks installed.
