TF536, IDE ?

I have a compactflash adapter on my TF536, kickstart 2.04
will i be able to use it or would i need 2.05 or higher ? or is that just for booting ?
How big compactflash disk can i use ?

Kickstart ROM 2.05 is minimum.
Max 4 GB CF recommended.

You will need v2.05 r37.300 or higher. r37.350 is preferable for larger CF cards.

Earlier 2.05 do not boot to ide.

Thanks, appreciated. just to clarify, I don't intend to boot from it, I'm trying to figure out if I can use it at all with 2.04
I have two CompactFlash disks on the way, eta May 26 or so. Trying to figure out if I will be able to access the disks before I actually get them.
Again, I'm not trying to boot from that IDE/CompactFlash
