DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

BOOSTER discussion ( WAS STE 32MHz PLUG IN BOOSTER (again) 2021 variation )
Just realised my div ide card plugs in processor socket. Will this cause an issue or can I finally join the stacking crew

I can't really comment on hardware combos I've not designed or tried myself.philbo34 wrote: 20 Jan 2021 13:39 Just realised my div ide card plugs in processor socket. Will this cause an issue or can I finally join the stacking crew

A quick question (also applies on the previous STE booster version I think):
I got the MonSTer board from AllanH and it has a CPU relocator -what you actually do is unplug the CPU, plug the CPU into MonSTer in and then plug MonSTer in the CPU plug.
Could this be combined with the accelerator (even make it solder less as this is what I am hoping for)?

I would like to.
Does accelerator need to be first? Also, not sure if you've seen MonSTer, do the accelerator pins fit into the CPU relocator on MonSTer?

Re: STE 32MHz PLUG IN BOOSTER (again) 2021 variation
I can't really suggest how to fit stuff together as I don't know how monster works. It possible just fitting the booster in a relocated could break something. In theory the booster should work with any other devices but I can't say as what others have designed is unknown.
EDIT:
Come to think of it, I think it was tried before on AF and I suggested a fix to Alan to solve some issue, it was met with the usual hostility from people so I gave up. So it likely won't work anyway.

This is what I thought, was hoping it was actually tried.exxos wrote: 25 Jan 2021 11:49 I can't really suggest how to fit stuff together as I don't know how monster works. And apparently it was.exxos wrote: EDIT:

Ah, not good about the hostility.
I am really hoping for a solution that could combine acceleration, additions RAM and features and, hopefully using all the previous additional features, a graphics upgrade so the accelerated, beefed up ST(e) could at least reach some of the TT resolutions or even 80x600@8/10/12bit color.

Its where the remake boards come in, with the suska cores they are ste .. But it opens the door to 64mhz STram . we already have a HDMI shifter which supports higher resolutions. I worked hard to get 64mhz cpu running etc So all this hackery with altram and bodging on graphics cards etc is really all obsolete now.

Yeah, understood. I assume the HDMI shifter is part of the remake project? No way one can get it for legacy ST/E?exxos wrote: 25 Jan 2021 12:08 Its where the remake boards come in, with the suska cores they are ste .. It was designed for the STFM in the first place..MegaSTEarian wrote: 25 Jan 2021 12:28 Yeah, understood. I assume the HDMI shifter is part of the remake project? No way one can get it for legacy ST/E?
