TF536 with 40MHz CPU

Post by ninjafahrer »

Hi,
is it possible to run the CPU on the TF536 with 40MHz, means just replacing the Oscillator?

Firmware is fixed for 50mhz, so it most likely will not work.
You need to source 030 which will handle 50mhz better, if your cpu is unstable at this speed.
Do not trust people. They are capable of greatness.

All bets are off if you move away from 50mhz. The logic and timing are fixed at this frequency.

I tried it but I would not recommend it. It only works with certain A500 motherboards (I think this only worked on a rev5 but not other revs), and there may be other side effects.
