I'm a bit startled to see what's possible with the TF536 on ST.
I'd really like to boost my STE, or possibly even my MSTE.
However before even talking compatibility, the main issue is that on those machines the 68000 is on a PLCC68 socket, not to mention than on STE it's located under the keyboard.
Is there a solution to this, at least like a PLCC68 male/DIP adapter? Or would that mean I'd have to hope for someone to do such a relocator?
68000 relocator for STE/MSTE?

Nothing exist of such a board or solution to it that I know of for STe and thus it is not tested either.

I thought it could be possible to use a male PLCC68 socket but the only one I find seems to be CMS.
Also if the TF536 has not been tested for STE/MSTE, maybe this won't work at all in the end :/
There's also boards for Amiga 600, but they clip over the 68000 so again desoldering the CPU socket and modifying the board would be required.
Honestly I would try to unsolder the CPU if I was sure of the result because unfortunately I currently don't have enough time on my hands to try all that :(

Re: 68000 relocator for STE/MSTE?
The TF should work if the Mega STE run at 8Mhz and cache off. The PAK68/3 works. When the MSTE switch to 16Mhz or the cache on the computer will crash. The Atari Mega STE with TOS 2.06 work at boottime always to 8Mhz and cache off. I not know about EmuTOS?

I once saw an adapter as you envision for the PAK accelerator: http://atari.wroclaw.pl/pliki/pak1.jpg. However, I have no idea who made those and where they could be bought.fenarinarsa wrote: 18 Nov 2020 23:59 I thought it could be possible to use a male PLCC68 socket but the only one I find seems to be CMS.
