With the post slowing down towards Christmas and due to Covid etc, I'm considering a new store "item" which will probably be about £4.50 to use a faster postage service within the UK. It will still be Royal mail, but it will have a faster delivery aim and full tracking.
Currently everything is posted first class signed for within the UK, but this does not show progress of packages and is obviously not as fast as special delivery items with tracking.
So really wondering if UK people would use this service if I added it as a option in my store ?
Possible UK faster postage option ?

Re: Possible UK faster postage option ?
I would, most definitely.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Re: Possible UK faster postage option ?
I've added this into the store now..
https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/atari/store2/#0204
From my workings out, it will cost £4.50 to send express services. This cost may change depending on how many people use it.. as I won't know if it works out right until several orders come through using the option.
This is UK ONLY option. Buying this item outside of the UK will not speed up delivery of your package.

Re: Possible UK faster postage option ?
I've taken this option down for the time being. I made a half assumption that the price jumps for quicker services would be a fixed amount.. but it seems not :roll: The only fixed way would be to charge £13 minimum for faster services, which means smaller orders would probably be overpaying by a few quid.
Really it needs its own checkout option, but it would mean programming more stuff in my store, adding more postage prices tables in the database (And maintaining them!) so will just have to shelve the idea for now.
