Amazing how much this bit has affected the room overall. More dead acoustically which should help my neighbours out a bit and give me more piece of mind.

P.S. Didn't notice the difference in grey tone until I was quite a way in. Also, when I do the wall in front of the speakers I'll be able to install them completely flat and turn every other tile around to create a neat pattern (they only bend well with the lines).

Bending the tiles like this means I've only had to cut the bottom two, and the rest will be reusable.

Nice setup. Wish I still had that sort of man-cave space.

And you are using command strips. We have to use them in our house...Plasterboard walls means if you tap a nail in, the whole house falls down.

Whats the synth in the background?

NIce setup. I am a bit of an acoustic treatment aficionado

I had the foam tiles for years but After my wife complained they looked awful i upgraded to Primacousic Fibreglass panels. The sound is about the same but they are more visually appealing.

However i have another room in the house with floor to ceiling bookcases on 3 out of 4 walls. This is MUCH better than any acoustic treatment i've ever had in a house. Gives concert hall style treatment... I mention this because that space looks like it might take books at some point... just a thought.

Thanks.

Ha. There are days I dream about not being single, but at least I get to do what I want.

Yeah, this is rented. Got the heavy duty ones (quite expensive though!)knowing that this chip wallpaper, painted with stuff that comes off if you rub it is the worst possible surface.

The background synth is my Juno Di. It needs repairing. It doesn't hold onto saved patches (which makes it usless for composition), and the pitch wheel is out of tune. I plan to get it fixed as a gigging keyboard in the future.

Yeah, the way I've wedged these in works, but it would look better straight, but that would've meant cutting up panels and would have been less effective for this odd space.

That's interesting about the books!

I got a lamp so I could start trying to read in bed but it buzzes so I just play pocket tanks on my android phone.

Always been massively into films and obviously sound. :D

These smell a little but nothing like the foam mattress topper I had to send back. Will air the room each night and see if it fades at all.

Nice. Obviously sound is massively subjective but this pattern seems to kill all echo and noise...
