I think I'd better say a big thank you to @agranlund for working out how to get 128mb up and running on the ST :D

:coolpics: :goodpost:
Possibly the only other thing to add is that I still haven't got the settings right to successfully run any programs in FastRAM, so 64 or 128 is not an issue until I sort that out. :foldarms: :(
Which RAM have you used @PhilC ?
Might be handy for the second H4...

@JezC I think this was the ram I used
INTEGRATED SILICON SOLUTION (ISSI) IS42S16320D-7TLI DRAM, SDR, 512 Mbit, 32M x 16bit, 143 MHz, TSOP-II, 54 Pins
About £12 a chip inc vat.
Have you been using prgflags.tos to set the fastram flags? Oh and you may need to flash the latest firmware with the 64mb fix.

Not all heroes wear capes, but maybe @agranlund actually does?

Well I technically have a 128mb TF536, but it only functions as 64MB.
I should maybe swap out the ram, I dont hold much hope in having it working fully now.

@EzdineG I think @agranlund may actually be a secret cape wearer

@PhilC Thanks for the info on the RAM - I think we use a similar part on one of our designs so will check with our preferred silicon disti to see if they are available from them or not.PhilC wrote: 29 Sep 2020 17:36 Have you been using prgflags.tos to set the fastram flags? I have a prgflags.prg that I've tried to use...but have not seen any real difference in the Gembench figures...assuming I'm using it correctly, of course!
There's a file selector so I just set all the flags to the left of the file list...but don't know how to check for sure whether it actually did anything (it was saying file was read-only even though the info on the desktop said it was writeable)...
Won't get chance today but maybe later this week I'll trawl fro a maual/guide to using it & see what I might be doing wrong...
If I need to re-program the CPLD as well then I guess I'd better work out how to use one of my RasPi boards to do it at some point.
Another potential problem is that I've only got a Gotek connected & working so far...not yet managed to get a CF working on the IDE on the TF536 (I think I need a cable to connect between the TF and the CF adaptor board)...

@JezC I use a cable and cf adaptor from the exxos store. Ill make a simple CF card image soon with stuff on to help you and others get going if that useful?
