I'd like to reimplement Atari ST/E DMA chip. I'm going to try a small ARM MCU first, because it appears to be a most cost efectiove solution (a single 5V/5V tolerant chip design, internal FIFO). Otherwise a small FPGA (Lattice ICE40 will be used instead).
In present time I'm trying to collect as much info about DMA chip as possible.
I highly appreciate all the relevant comments and links.

Re: ST/E DMA recreation (still collecting info)
The only thing you can use as reference is the Suska DMA core as it is complete stand alone.
